Current status
GGWSC’s
suit against Contra Costa County was heard in Superior Court on June 2,
2006.
We lost.

So far the temporarily
hold on any abatement activity is still in affect. Access to the island
is still severely restricted. All structures remain standing, but all
have been vandalized to some degree.
What’s
Next?
Our lawyers
will file an appeal with CCC. They will then present our case to the
Pacific Legal Foundation (PLF). If PLF elects to represent us, then we
can continue the fight with a minimum of extra expenses.
Legal Fund
We owe
approximately $30,000 to our attorneys. We have approximately $10,000
in our coffers.
